Ordering system for festivals & concerts. Your bars can do more.

More sales at every bar: your guests order and pay for their drinks via QR code on their phones, no app needed. Every bar gets its own digital queue, and skippr plans the work behind the bar. Your team handles up to 60% more orders per hour.*

  • No fixed costs, no minimum revenue
  • One tablet per station is enough
  • With or without POS and wristbands

What’s in it for you

More sales per bar. Same team.

When the music stops, you’re not short of demand – you’re short of capacity at the bar. skippr gets more orders out of the same bars, and every extra order comes without extra staff costs.

+60%*

More orders per hour

Identical drinks are made in one round, and nobody takes payments at the bar. The same bar handles a lot more between sets.

Another round instead of a line

Guests order in front of the stage and pick up when the push notification arrives. People who don’t wait in line are more likely to order another round.

€0

Fixed costs, no minimum revenue

No setup, license or monthly fee, and no minimum revenue. You only pay when your guests order.

< 10 min

Temps up to speed

Your team always sees exactly the next task. Even temps on the first festival day are up to speed in under 10 minutes.

An example for your bars

If a bar handles 60 orders per hour at peak times, up to 60% more means up to 96.* With five bars and two busy hours, that’s up to 360 more orders in one night. You know best what an order is worth to you.

Run the numbers for my festival

Why festival bars get jammed

At a festival, demand doesn’t come evenly – it comes in waves. The biggest one hits as soon as the music stops.

  • Everyone wants a drink at once

After an act’s last song, hundreds of guests hit the bars within minutes. Peak time lasts exactly as long as the break between sets.

  • Taking payments slows the bar down

Every order has to be taken and paid for. That time is missing at the tap and the shaker, right when it’s busiest.

  • Waiting in line means missing the next act

Guests who wait too long order less or give up altogether. That revenue doesn’t come back later.

That’s exactly how skippr started: founder Ole waited 25 minutes for his drink at a festival, in a chaotic line. It turned into the question of how the same bar can handle more at peak times.

How it works

How skippr runs at your festival

For your guests, it’s one scan and a few taps. For your bars, it’s a queue that skippr sorts on its own.

  1. 01

    Put up QR codes

Place the skippr QR codes at bars, walkways and stages. Ideally, let guests know about skippr in advance, for example with their ticket.

  2. 02

    Order and pay

Guests choose their pickup bar, order and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Deposits and tips are part of the checkout.

  3. 03

    skippr plans every bar

Every bar has its own queue, and each station within it only sees its own orders. skippr batches identical drinks, lets your team prep ahead and keeps every station busy.

  4. 04

    Push notification to the phone

Guests find out when their order is being prepared and when it’s ready. Until then, they stay in front of the stage instead of in line.

  5. 05

    Pick up with a scan

Guests collect their order with a single scan at the pickup point. For alcohol, your team checks their age at the same time.

  6. 06

    Deposit back with a scan

When guests return their cup, the deposit code from their order is scanned. The deposit is refunded to their card.

Every bar under control

You manage what happens across the grounds live, without any bar standing still.

  • One queue per bar

Each bar only handles its own orders. Guests choose where to pick up when they order.

  • Set up stations freely

You decide which tablet sees which orders: food only at the food station, long drinks and draft beer together or separate. Each station has its own rules for batching and looking ahead.

  • Change prices per bar

Happy hour at the side stage or a special price for the headliner: you change prices in one click, for each bar individually.

  • Close, pause, switch off

If a stage takes a break, you close that bar to new orders. If it gets too busy, you pause briefly. If a drink runs out, you take it off the menu.

  • No guest gets forgotten

You decide how many orders skippr may move up at most. That way, every order reliably moves forward.

  • Every transaction on record

Sales, deposits and tips are stored with their own transaction ID and can be exported for your accounting. You see sales and stock levels in real time.

Setup and tech

Quick to set up. Runs alongside everything you already have.

One tablet per station, a little space for pickup and an internet connection. That’s all skippr needs at a bar. Most of the prep goes into your digital menu, and we set that up with you beforehand.

1 tablet

per station

Setting up on site means: put the tablet down, set up the pickup point, give your team a quick briefing. We come by for your first event.

1,000

Orders per minute

That’s how many skippr can technically process at each bar. The limit is your bar, not the system.

With or without a POS

skippr runs alongside your POS and your wristband system. If a bar shouldn’t take payments at all, skippr runs there on its own. Your guests only need their phones.

Important: internet at every bar. The tablets need a stable connection, and your guests need reception to order. If the connection drops at a bar, no new orders arrive there in that moment. So plan Wi-Fi or a dedicated mobile router for each bar. No solution for your grounds yet? Get in touch: we’ll help you choose the right provider. The connection itself comes from an internet provider and isn’t part of skippr.

FAQ: skippr at festivals

What ordering system works for a festival?

One that can handle waves. At a festival, you need a system where guests order without an app, every bar has its own queue and the bar gets more done at peak times. That’s what we built skippr for: ordering via QR code in the browser, one queue per bar and a bar that batches identical drinks. No fixed costs, no minimum revenue, €0.10 per order.

Do my guests need an app?

No. They order in the browser, with no app and no account. Guests agree once to receive push notifications. On iPhone, Apple requires them to add skippr to their home screen for this; on Android it works right away.

What happens if the network is weak?

skippr needs internet: at the bar for the tablet and on the guest’s phone to order. If the connection drops at a bar, no new orders arrive there in that moment. So plan a stable connection for each bar, such as Wi-Fi or a dedicated mobile router. If you don’t have a solution yet, we’ll help you choose a suitable provider. The connection itself isn’t part of skippr.

How do deposits work?

The deposit is part of the checkout and charged to the guest’s card. When they return their cup, the deposit code from their order is scanned and the amount is refunded. Every deposit transaction shows up individually in your export.

How are age checks for alcohol handled?

Your team checks the guest’s age at pickup and confirms it in skippr. If your event is 18+ anyway, this step is skipped.

Does skippr run alongside our cashless wristband system?

Yes. skippr replaces neither your POS nor your wristband system. Anyone ordering through skippr only needs their phone. If a bar shouldn’t take payments at all, skippr can also run there on its own.

Can food and drinks run separately at one bar?

Yes. Within a bar, you set up stations and decide which tablet sees which orders. Food then only goes to the food station, while draft beer and long drinks run together or separately – whatever suits your team. For each station, you set your own rules, such as what gets batched and how far ahead skippr looks.

How many orders can skippr handle?

Technically, skippr can process up to 1,000 orders per minute per bar. The real limit is how much your bar can produce. That’s exactly where skippr comes in: in initial tests, the same bar handled up to 60% more orders per hour with skippr.*

How much lead time do we need?

Not much. You receive the partner agreement and the Nexi contract. Most of the time goes into your digital menu, which we set up with you beforehand. On site, all you need is one tablet per station and a short briefing for your team. Best to get in touch as soon as your bar plan is ready.
