Batch orders instead of one ticket at a time. How skippr plans the work at the bar.

Identical drinks in one round, no station sitting idle: the same bar handles up to 60% more orders per hour.*

  • No fixed costs, no minimum revenue
  • With or without a POS
Simplified example: the same four orders

What’s in it for you

More orders from the same bar.

Your team can’t pour or mix any faster. But it can make fewer moves: whoever makes four Gin & Tonics at once reaches for glass, ice and bottle once instead of twice. Every extra order is revenue without extra staff costs.

+60%*

More orders per hour

In initial tests, the same bar handled up to 60% more with skippr than with one ticket at a time.

Fewer moves

Identical drinks are made in one round, upcoming ones right away. That saves steps and reaches.

< 10 min

Temps ready to go

The tablet always shows the next task. Even someone new works as if they were thinking three steps ahead.

No guest gets forgotten

You set how many orders skippr may move up at most. Every order reliably moves to the front.

Example for your bar

If your bar handles 60 orders per hour at peak, up to 60% more means up to 96.* Over four busy hours, that’s up to 144 more orders in one night. You know best what an order is worth to you.

Why the bar slows down at peak times

Most ordering systems only change how an order arrives. It still gets made one ticket at a time.

  • One ticket at a time

Every order is made on its own, even when the next one wants exactly the same. Your team reaches for glass, ice and bottle again for every ticket.

  • One station holds up the other

If the first order wants beer and a cappuccino and the coffee machine is busy, the tap waits too, even though only beer orders come next.

  • Thinking ahead takes experience

Experienced bartenders see what’s coming and make it along the way. A temp on their first night can’t do that yet.

The three rules

What your best bartender keeps in mind, skippr does for everyone.

skippr works with three fixed rules. Instead of the next ticket, your team sees the next task that makes sense on the tablet.

Rule 1 · Batching

Same drinks, same time.

If two guests order Gin & Tonics shortly after each other, your team makes them in one round. skippr combines identical items from several orders into one task, as long as they are close together in the queue.

  • You set how much fits into one round, per station and per item. If the shaker only holds three drinks, skippr makes three at most.

Rule 2 · PreWork

One more, the next one is coming.

skippr looks a few orders ahead. If there is another Gin & Tonic that was ordered together with something that takes longer, such as nachos from the kitchen, skippr suggests making it right away. When that order comes up, the Gin & Tonic is already waiting.

  • You decide which items may be prepared ahead and how far skippr looks ahead.
  • PreWork can also be switched off completely.

Rule 3 · Fast Lane

No station sits idle.

If an order wants beer and a cappuccino and the coffee machine is busy, the tap would have to wait. skippr then moves up orders the tap can serve right away, until the coffee machine is free again.

  • Fast Lane is always on, there is nothing to set up.
  • You decide how many orders skippr may move up at most.

How much skippr changes the order has a limit that you set. Every order reliably moves to the front.

No guest gets forgotten.

Settings

You decide how much skippr steps in.

Every bar is different. That’s why you set what skippr batches, how far it looks ahead and how much it may reorder: for all stations, per station or per item.

  • How far skippr looks ahead

The further skippr looks into the queue, the more it finds to batch and prepare ahead.

  • What may be prepared ahead

Only items where it really saves time. PreWork can also be switched off for all stations.

  • How much fits into one round

Per station and per item. If the shaker holds three drinks, skippr makes three mojitos at most.

  • How many orders may be moved up at most

We recommend five. Every order reliably moves to the front, even when matching orders keep coming in behind it.

Simplified view with example values

Set up together: When you start, we set up the settings together with your digital menu. Later you can change them yourself at any time, for example when a new cocktail goes on the menu.

Every station only sees its own work.

You decide which tablet sees which orders. Every station has its own queue and its own rules for batching and looking ahead.

Simplified example
  • Set up stations freely

Draft beer and long drinks together or separately, food in the kitchen. You assign the right items to each tablet.

  • Several bars, several queues

At festivals or in a stadium, every bar has its own queue and its own menu.

  • Pause and switch off

If one bar gets too busy, you pause new orders for a moment. If an item runs out, you take it off the menu with one click.

Explained openly

How we measured the 60%.

In initial tests, we processed the same orders twice at one bar: once one after another, as at any bar, and once with skippr, entered at the same time and batched. With skippr, it was up to 60% more orders per hour.

2×

the same orders

Once one ticket at a time, once with skippr. Same bar, same orders, timed.

+60%

up to more per hour

The time saved comes from batching: identical drinks are made in one round instead of several.

Your menu decides

The more often the same drinks are ordered at peak times, the more skippr helps. We’re happy to work out with you what that means for your bar.

Fixed rules you can follow. skippr decides based on rules you know and set. Whatever skippr batches, has prepared ahead or moves up always follows the same three rules.

Common questions about batching

What does “batching orders” mean?

Identical items from several orders are made in one round. If two guests order two Gin & Tonics each shortly after each other, your team makes four at once instead of two and then two. skippr spots these cases in the queue and shows them to the team as one task.

Does my team have to learn anything new?

Hardly. The tablet always shows exactly the next task, such as “4× Gin & Tonic” or “Make +1 Gin & Tonic”. Training takes well under fifteen minutes, for temps too.

Are guests who ordered earlier put at a disadvantage?

No. You set how many orders skippr may move up at most, and we recommend five. Every order reliably moves to the front. And because the bar handles more overall, the line gets shorter, too.

How does skippr know what comes next?

From three fixed rules: batch identical items, prepare upcoming items ahead, keep free stations busy. You set how much skippr steps in, for all stations, per station or per item.

Does batching cost extra?

No. Batching, PreWork and Fast Lane are always included. There is no setup, license or monthly fee and no minimum revenue. Each order costs €0.10 as an ordering fee, plus the card payment fee from Nexi.
